What Is a Fox Eye Lift?
Lifting "Foxy eye", "Cat eye", "Sleepy eyes" or "Ponytail facelift" is an operation to correct the shape of the eyes, in which the eye shape acquires an almond shape and an attractive fox squint.
Foxy eyes is especially suitable for girls with a sad look when the lateral corner of the eye and the tail of the eyebrow are lowered.
While being popularized by celebrities such as Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner, this procedure has become a real trend "bella eyes".

This is one of the operations that suits most of girls, regardless of age. It can be done at the age of 20 and also 70. In addition, the operation to create almond-shaped eyes has one of the highest indices of satisfaction with the result. The main thing is a sense of proportion.
Surgical lifting "Foxy eyes"
There was a time when I achieved a similar cat eyes effect due to canthopexy. However, in this version, only the tissues of the lower eyelid were lifted, while creating an eye shape close to the Asian one. And this was not suitable for all patients.
In the modern version of this operation, I make an access from the side of the temple, and evenly shift the tissues as a whole block, from the lateral corner of the eye to the tail of the eyebrow (in fact, this operation is a variation of the classic temporal facelift). This way we get a more feminine, open, attractive look.

Procedure of the surgery
The "Foxy look" lift is performed under general anesthesia (in rare cases under local anesthesia).
Surgical intervention is performed through small incisions in the temporal zone hidden in the hair. With the help of special surgical instruments, the SMAS layer is shifted upwards. If there are excesses of the skin, they are excised.
The operation can be performed in both classical and endoscopic techniques.
Duration of the operation: 40-60 minutes
Narcosis: general (gas or intravenous) or local anesthesia
Hospital stay: one can go home on the same day
Non-surgical methods of creating a "Fox look"
There are several ways to achieve the effect of a "Cat eyes" without surgery:
1. Foxy eyes with Botox
When botulinum toxin is injected into the lateral part of the orbit (the area where crow's feet wrinkles are formed), the circular muscle of the eye relaxes and thus the tip of the eyebrow is raised. This leads to a similar "Fox Eyes Lift" effect, but it is significantly less than with a surgical lifting. The main difference is that the shape of the eye does not change and the lateral corner of the eye does not rise, but the tail of the eyebrow is raised.
2. Lifting the "Fox gaze" with threads
This is a minimally invasive procedure to raise the outer corner of the eyes and the tips of the eyebrows with the help of special absorbable threads, without incisions. Absorbable filaments are inserted under the skin using a blunt-ended cannula at the outer corners of the eyes. With careful tension, the threads raise the eyebrows, while lengthening the upper eyelid and lifting the sagging tissues. The threads contain small cones that are fixed under the skin and create a lifting effect.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and lasts 30 minutes. The effect usually disappears within 2 months.
There are also modern makeup techniques, such as "Smoky eyes", by which one can also draw an almond eye shape. However, the result is one-time.
It is important to understand that in all these cases, the result is short-term. It is not possible to achieve a more long-term and stable result without surgical intervention.
In addition, the result of a surgical lift looks much more natural and more in line with the expectations of our girls — the look immediately becomes sexier and more attractive.
Risks and possible complications
As with any surgical procedure, certain risks and complications are possible:
- Bruises, hematomas, edemas
- Extremely rarely, damage to the upper branch of the facial nerve is described in the literature, which leads to a decrease in the mobility of the forehead
- Delayed healing of incisions in the hair
All risks can be discussed with a plastic surgeon at the consultation.
Rehabilitation
The recovery period after the "Ponytail lift" operation is short, and one can return to work as early as in 1-2 days.
